This Lent, we're forming small faith sharing communities known as CLCs.
CLC is an invitation to us both as individuals and as a Saint Agnes community to integrate our experience of Ignatian spirituality with Christian community and Gospel mission and then allow it to shape our family, work, society, Church, town, nation and planet. Interested? Please contact Megan or sign up in the back of the Church after Mass.
Tuesdays, March 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th at 7:00pm
This Lent, work for justice and cultivate compassion! Join Fr. Ray Allender as he guides us through Dean Brackley’s text The Call to Discernment in Troubled Times: New Perspectives on the Transformative Wisdom of Ignatius of Loyola. Cost is $25 and includes the book, (reduced for those who already have the text). Scholarships available. Contact Megan if you'd like to pre-register and pick up your book in advance.
Wednesdays, March 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th at 7pm
This Lent, rest in the Heart of all Hearts using the reflections of the great Christian Mystics: Mechtilde of Magdeburg, Hildegard of Bingen and St. John of the Cross. For centuries, yoga has been used to prepare the body for meditation and communion with the Divine. Join us for four weeks of yoga in which we will practice vigorously to rest the bones and still the racing heart. Wear comfortable clothes; bring a yoga mat and water. The class will last for approximately 75 minutes. No previous experience with yoga is necessary but this will be a vigorous physical, as well as spiritual
practice. Linda Chavez, who has been a Director of Faith Formation for over 20 years and recently became a certified yoga instructor, will lead the series. The fee is $30 for all four weeks paid at the first session or $10 for a drop-in. Reservations are required because space is limited.
Book club meets at 7 p.m. on the last Friday of the month in the Spiritual Life Center.
